Chronology
- 1780-1881
Property of aristocratic German families: von Hartig, von Mutius, Grandke, von Mobius, von Ohlen and Adlerskron. At that time, the garden plays a decorative and functional role.
- 1881
The property was bought by a nobleman Arthur von Seherr-Thoss. The family owned the estate until 1945. The garden thrives thanks to the owner Andrea von Seherr-Thoss who was passionate about gardening. Kamieniec Palace was a private residence and so was the garden.
- 1946
From 1946, the property becomes one of the several polish State Agricultural Farms. The palace was adapted as a common house for several families. The garden wasn’t cared properly at that time.
- 1980s
Several old trees were cut down. The garden was completely overgrown with self-sown trees and weeds.
- 2009
The property was purchased by Katarzyna and Wojciech Hutny who started the restoration works around the palace, garden and former barn.
- 2013
The reconstruction works in the garden begun in spring 2013.
- 2015
In June 2015 the site was opened to the public.
