Congratulations to our partners, Museum of King Jan III’s palace at Wilanów and Gardens of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, for their “Royal Garden of excellence” award
The award is an official recognition of the efforts made to protect and popularise historical gardens as a cultural and natural heritage of exceptional and universal value.

On Saturday, 12.06.2021, Mr. Lukasz Pryzylak, head of the garden department at Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów, received this prestigious appreciation from the hands of the vice president of the City of Kutno, considered as the “Polish capital of roses”, Mr. Zbigniew Wdowiak, the president of the PRS, Ms. Bożena Matysiak, and the vice president of the PRS, Ms. Weronika Lenarczyk.
The “Royal Garden of Excellence” award recognises the last few years of intensive work carried out in the garden and the long-standing contribution to the propagation and preservation of horticultural and rose culture.
This kind summary of the role in the Polish care over the garden heritage, has also been given to the Gardens of The Royal Castle in Warsaw, who is also an ERHG member.
The ERHG is very proud to count on the valuable membership of the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów, led by Lukasz Pryzylak, who is also the Vice-president of the ERHG and with the important contribution of the Gardens of The Royal Castle in Warsaw, whose head of the Gardens, Mrs. Monika Drag, is a member of the ERHG scientific committee, too.
