The European Network of Historic Gardens holds its General Assembly
The Willanow Palace in Warsaw will host next Thursday, 8th March, the General Assembly of the European Association of Historic Gardens.

A total of 10 institutions from Portugal, Spain, Italy and Poland will be represented on this occasion, following the recent expansion of the network, which was born in 2016 on the initiative of the municipalities of Lloret de Mar and Aranjuez and the University of Barcelona.
Among the main topics to be discussed can be highlight the proposal of activities for 2018 (declared as European Year of Cultural Heritage), the preparation of the Candidacy for the Mention "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe" and the Organization of the II European Forum of Historic Gardens, that probably will be held in Italy in the second half of the year.
The President of the Association and Mayor of Lloret de Mar, Jaume Dulsat, has the hopeful that the Network of European Historic Gardens can continue to grow with the addition of new sites from countries like Portugal, Italy, England or France, where there are important Historical Gardens. Likewise, he has expressed his conviction that this same year the European Gardens will swell the list of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, at least as a candidate Itinerary for, in 2019, consolidate itself as a Cultural Route of reference within of the framework of the Culture and European Tourism .
