Monika Drąg
Historic Garden Manager Gardens of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland
Monika is landscape architect, Green Area Surveillance Inspector, specialist in the protection and conservation of historic gardens, monuments sciences and conservation of historical architecture and public procurement law. She graduated from the Agricultural University of Wrocław, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She is a member of the Polish National Committee of ICOMOS, the Scientific Committee of the European Route of Historic Gardens, the Landscape Architecture Association, the Polish Dendrological Society and the Association of Horticultural Engineers and Technicians.
From 2016, she is the head of the Gardens of the Royal Castle in Warsaw and the Deputy Head of the Team for 'Reconstruction the Lower Gardens of the Royal Castle in Warsaw'. She works with the European Heritage Garden Network and the European Buxus and Topiary Society. Since 2009, she is the owner of a landscape architecture studio. She participates in specialist Polish and foreign industry conferences. She creates dendrological expertises, conservation work programs, cooperates with conservators of monuments in the field of historic greenery and historical parks, implements projects of gardens and parks in Poland and Slovakia.
