There are Planε trees the age of which is unknown (over 600 years old). The first plantings took place in 1925-30 and concerned pines, plane trees and boxwoods (Buxus sempervirens). Some plane trees are of unknown age and are associated with local legends of Naoussa during the Turkish occupation.
More specifically, the Municipal Park of Naoussa has an important value in terms of gardening, but also in terms of compatible, to the local special area, its uses and actions, i.e. Also to the way of life within this space. The form and all these uses and actions, constitute the spirit of the place.
The place-environment is in constant and eternal dialogue with life existence, which is the international term genius loci. A place also has its spirit and its authentic character.
The perennial trees of Plane and the evergreen Pines are predominant, while the other species (evergreen and deciduous) are few. Regarding shrubs, the largest quantities are in the form of clusters and are mainly Ligustrum (Ligustrum japonicum) and Viburnum (Viburnum tinus).
